Everybody must be treated equally....remember how Ibori was flown with helicopter for medical check up? With a damn helicopter! His cronies visited him daily, almost an owambe party every night. People would stroll in and out of his jail and then get their shine in the newspapers! Kaduna prison suddenly became the place to be seen!

When one thinks about the situation that way, then we can not help but feel enraged and angry at the blatant disregard for people that do not have "connections".

If Jonathan Elendu can be "invited" just like that for questioning, I see no reason why they can not "invite" those 419 governors for questioning.Waffarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06039619178621668954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4239661713813678906.post-32206669445951178282008-10-31T09:13:00.000+01:002008-10-31T09:13:00.000+01:00To be frank, I have my issues with the Elendu genr...To be frank, I have my issues with the Elendu genre of journalism, especially its little regard for veracity of facts.

That aside, we still have a constituition that limits detention before trial to 48 hours. The detention of Elendu makes rubbish of all Yaradua's speeches about due process and individual rights.

An indicted female federal legislator is declared wanted by a court but she still finds time to procure chieftancy titles. Meanwhile, the SSS are scouring colonial era law archives, to find something, anything to charges Elendu with, after all these days.

I am beginning to think Obasanjo had a better record on human rights.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
