Also, please check out this website, called why democracy?
It is a wonderful project involving 38 public service tv stations all over the world. They will be showing different documentaries and short films about democracy. I have watched two so far, and they have been very interesting and eye-opening. Go to the website and check for the screening time in your country. The documentaries will run from the 8th of october. I implore you all to watch a few of them, if not all!
Here are the documentaries and the short films.
For those too lazy to check out the website, hope this gets you interested!

Thank you for this direction to the films.
I tried to watch them all but I have so many assignments.
i was most disturbed by the video "MY BODY, MY WEAPON out of India. The display of brute force by the Armed Forces unit felt so real and reminiscent of our military days in Nigeria.
The clip out of Kenya was like a mirror into the average African nation.
I did not understand the clip "FAMOUS LAST WORDS", out of London. Was the woman a suicide bomber or was she simply trying to calm herself by recollecting a time when she felt safe and happy?
And I was really not surprised not to see an entry from Nigeria.
Thanks again
God is not a dictator...now about being democratic, I really don't think I can group God into any of these categories. He is in a category all by Himself...
It is true that He wants us to worship only Him...that there is no other God besides Him...BUT we are the ones that have the option to go to Him..."and they that come to God must believe that He is..."
Interesting topic...
Jaycee has said it...
I think God is pseudo-democratic. You are free to acknowledge him and play by his principles through the gazillions of "parties" out there but when push comes to shove...he is the head of state for ever and ever.
I always contend that Jealousy is a human trait and not divine
What is happening with Nigeria? Why are we not represented anywhere? We need to set up a group whose job it is to get Nigerians into as many things as possible.
Anyway, is God democratic? I don't think God has to delve into such 'human' conceptualizations. He would be above it. But, we humans can't probably understand what that would be like....
